Obituary

Gloria Fay Crenshaw , fondly called Fay by family and friends

was born on January12, 1957 in Memphis, TN to the late

Charlie Crenshaw and Georgia Mckinney Crenshaw. She was the

5 ^th of 7 children. Who graduated from Fairley High School. She attended

University of Memphis and later graduated form the Memphis Police Academy in 1982

and reached the rank of Colonel before retiring in 2010.

Gloria was a baptized, faithful, hardworking and loving member of New

Zion Missionary Church. A church where she has attended her entire life.

After Gloria retired and from MPD she spent her time doing the things that

made her happiest. She was a mother and one that truly adored her son. All of her

affection was bestowed upon him until she was blessed with two grandchildren

who fondly called her 'Mimi". This is where she really came alive, she loved them

as much as she loved her son and spent as much time as she could pouring into

their lives.

With all the love Gloria had for her child and grandchildren she still had loads of

love for her family and friends. She has lifelong friendships which is a testament of the

kind of person she was. She was an active and dedicated member of New Zion Baptist Church.
