Joe Ivory Jackson, affectionately know as Joe to his family and friends, was born Nov. 23, 1951, to the union of Dorothy Louise and James Jackson. He was the 6th child of 10 born to this union.
He attended Senatobia High School. He confessed his hope in Christ at an early age and joined Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Senatobia, MS.
In 1977, Joe joined the US Navy where he served his country fo 18 years until his retirement.
In 2005, he met the love of his life, Crystal O'Neal and they were married Feb. 17, 2017, and together they shared 5 years of happiness until the Lord called him home.
Joe was preceded in death by his mother, father, his daughter April, 2 sisters Shirley Jean Seale and Joyce Ann Jackson, 4 brothers LP Jackson, Melvin Jackson, Edward Jackson and Ronnie Jackson and his father-in-law Lester O'Neal Jr. Joe departed this life on Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Crystal Jackson; five daughters: Shante Blanks, Brenda Blanks, Ivory Jackson, Jacqueline Jackson, and Alyric Jackson: one son: Dexter Mallory; two sisters: Bessie Lomax and Evelyn Kay Jackson; one brother: Stanford Jackson; mother-in-law: Patricia Splunge; five sister in laws: Karen Jackson, Malissa Jackson, Star Lisa O'Neal, Lakeisha O'Neal, and Shimika O'Neal; two brother in laws: Joseph Splunge and Joshua Splunge; eleven grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
