Karen P. Terrell was born Feb. 1, 1957, in Memphis, TN to the late Rev. Charles J. Patterson Jr. and the late Curlie S. Patterson.

Karen attended Walker Avenue Elementary, Mitchell High School, Memphis Central High School, The University of Memphis, and Memphis Methodist School of Nursing.

Karen married Goldie Terrell, Jr. on July 27, 1985.  Their union was blessed with 36 years, and one child was born.

Mrs. Terrell pledged Alpha Kappa Alpha, Inc. in Dec. 1975.  She taught in the Memphis City Schools System for two years.  She became a registered nurse for Methodist Hospital, where she was employed for 12 years and was also employed as a home health nurse for 8 years.

Mrs. Karen P. Terrell departed this life on Thursday, Sept. 30, 2021 at her home.  She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Goldie "Skip" Terrell; one child Jonathan P. Terrell; three sisters, Carolyn Reed, Toni P. (Michael) Nash, and Tracey L. Patterson; and two brothers, Derrick W. Patterson and Kevin G. Patterson.  Karen was surrounded by a host of family, including nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.

Mrs. Terrell was preceded in death by her father, Rev. Charles J. Patterson, Jr.; her mother, Mrs. Curlie S. Patterson; and her sister, Minister Joyce P. Berkley.
