William Henry "Bubba" Kiser was born on February 25, 1945 to the late Henry Kiser and Beauty Scott-Kiser in Senatobia, Mississippi. God called him home on July 2, 1945 at 7:31 pm. after a suffering with heart problems for several years.
Bubba as he was affectionately known by most was the last child of nine. Bubba attended Brooks Avenue School, Walker Elementary and a graduate of Mitchell High School.
He accepted Christ at age 14 and was baptized at age 16, at Riverside Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Duncan. He was a faithful and servant member of Riverside In Time Ministries under the tutelage of Pastor James H. Tate, until his death. His dedication to the Choir and as a Sunday School Teacher was the highlight of his ministry and was unwavering.
Bubba worked at Armour Packing, Valley Products and Williams Equipment until he was injured on the job. His culinary skills were pleasing to the palate, and a master on the grill. He was also an ardent fisherman and hunter. He had a quick wit. He was united in matrimony to Lucille Smith-Kiser for more than 21 years.
Bubba had five daughters; Briggette, Shelia, Darnitha, Yasmeen and Diamond. He was a proud father that showed his children unconditional love and support. After the death of his daughter Shelia, he also raised her six children; Shanethia, Brooke, VaShaun, Stacey, Adrianne and Semethia.
All of his siblings preceded him in death; K. Willie Smith, J.C. Spencer, Robert Spencer, Rena Mae Spencer-Denton, Shirley Kiser-Broadnax, Jane Kiser, Annie Bell Dennis and Rosie Lee Dennis. His daughters Diamond Kiser and Shelia Delynn Kiser- Hobbs, and ex-wife Lucille Smith-Kiser also preceded him in death.

He received recognition of Outstanding and Meritorious Contribution to the Community in December 2010. Person's both young and old loved him and he was known by most as everybody's granddaddy in the neighborhood.
