He embodied the greatness of his all-time favorite musical artist, Prince, Michael Jackson, and Tupac. The apple of everyone's eye and a deep passion for love.
Eddie
had a love for fashion and for living his best life. Woven threads that define the charismatic and humbling spirit of him as a man. He never met a stranger, all that knew him, loved him. A family-friend once said, "
Whootie
belong to Irene, Toni and Errias but he was loved by so many. We all thought he belonged to us as well."
Eddie

My Son….When I called you my "baby" you were thinking "Aw, come on Mama!" because you were a strong man, I was blessed to carry you close to my heartbeat for nine months and loved you before I even knew you. From the moment I set you on your feet, you've stood solidly on the ground. Growing in power and confidence with the strength to let others lean on you when they needed to, including me. I'm so proud of the man you were and who you became. You're the son of my spirit and of my heart. You will always be "my baby" and a fine man.
Dad….you used to pick me up and let me ride your shoulders and now I'm PROUD to stand on them. Thank you for continued strength you continue to present to me throughout the years. No matter how low you've been, and no matter how good things have been, you continue to show me that you can only go up and rise if you want to. Thank you for being you. Everything I am, I owe to your Guidance, Protection, and Love.
Brother….. protector, confidant, and soulmate
Eddie
profoundly professed his love of for sister Tonia Jackson Gibson (Toni). Bonnie and Clyde coined by the siblings who's love for each other was undeniable and unbreakable; from their lens they both saw the BEST in each other regardless to what the world's view might have been. At an early age and through the years Toni and Eddie personified the meaning of caretakers, nurturer, protector by providing companionship or confidence in each other at all times. The time we spent laughing and joking was priceless(he was hilarious). In our quiet moments we would have conversation about the word of God. (Always and Forever brother).
Son….Errias born July 25, 1999 is what
Eddie
always proclaimed to be the best day of his life. It was the day that he realized life as fragile and complex as it was, no longer revolved around him, but the bundle of joy that pierced his soul and gave him peace. A devoted father over the years,
Eddie'
s
exciting and proudest moments with Errias were when he learned to drive, graduating from high school and attending college.
A believer….
Eddie
had a passion for studying God's word. It's the word that nourished his soul as he navigated through life's journey.
On Friday, February 12, 2021 (Sunset),
Eddie
transitioned to his permanent resting place.
Eddie
was proceeded in death by his father Eddie Earl Jackson Sr., and his loving grandparents Freddie and Ineda Richardson, Joe and Erma Hannah, and seven (7) uncles. When you can remember the good times and the challenges, the joy, laughter, and little quirks, the big accomplishments and all those things in the middle that fill the heart that's how we hold on. That's how we remember the ones we loved for who they were…. beautiful, gracious, complex people who mattered so much to our lives. - Author Unknown.
