Jasmyn Lee Madison was born Jasmyn Lee Cleaves on Sunday, December 14th, 1980 at 5:28 AM at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis Tennessee to Jerry Lewis Cleaves and Dorothy Lee Cleaves. Jasmyn grew up and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at a very early age at Greater Middle Baptist Church under the leadership of the Late Dr. Benjamin L. Hooks, where she attended Sunday school, sang in the youth choir and was a junior usher. The eldest of Jerry and Dorothy's two daughters and a native of Shelby County, Jasmyn graduated in 1999 from East High School in Memphis, Tennessee where she played varsity volleyball, was a cheerleader as well as a member of the NAACP, SECME, and National Honor Society. While in high school, she was also a recipient of the William H. Sweet Award.

Jasmyn went on to attend Clark Atlanta University (CAU) in Atlanta Georgia on a full academic scholarship, where in 2004, she earned her B.S. in Engineering with a concentration in Civil. While there, she was a member of the CAU Honors Program and an officer in the CAU chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers. In addition to making many lasting friendships, she also met the love of her life, Jonathan Dominic Madison who was also a fellow Engineering student at Clark Atlanta. She attended graduate school at the University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign and shortly thereafter, on June 10th, 2006, wedded Jonathan Madison at Greater Middle Baptist Church. They began their life together with a short tenure in Baltimore, Maryland followed by several years in Ann Arbor, MI. During this time, Jasmyn
worked as an Environmental Engineer for Malcolm Pirnie.

While in Ann Arbor, Jasmyn was initiated into Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. via the Ann Arbor Alumnae Chapter in the Spring of 2008. During this season of their lives in Southeast Michigan, Jasmyn and Jonathan quickly became pillars in their community through their volunteerism, service and leadership.

In 2010, Jasmyn and Jonathan would move to Albuquerque, New Mexico due to Jonathan's employment. Here, they would spend the lion share of their life together and experience many new adventures. Once in Albuquerque, Jasmyn would leave Engineering behind and return to school to earn her Bachelors of Arts in Graphic Design from the Southwest University of Visual Arts in 2013. She would go on to become a Content Marketing Manager at McKee Wallwork and Co. Through her work at McKee, Jasmyn would amass several accolades for her work from the American Advertising Federation including (5) Silver American Advertising Awards for Best Digital Advertising Campaign (2x); Digital Advertising Single Platform Consumer Campaign; Elements of Advertising (Logo); and Best Newspaper Advertisement. After two years, she would join a medical communications start-up company called Twistle, Inc. where she contributed to the company's successful launch and ultimate acquisition as a Director of Compliance & Design; as well as a Manager of Marketing & Sales Operations. Forever an idea generator and transformation leader, Jasmyn would also use her talents and time in New Mexico to serve as Chapter President of the Albuquerque Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. from 2018 to 2022.

Under her leadership, the chapter was recognized with the Spirit of New Mexico award by the highly esteemed and distinguished Albuquerque Journal in 2018. Moreover, she was recognized individually, as a member of the 2019 class of 40 Under Forty by the highly acclaimed Albuquerque Business Journal.  On September 22, 2020, Jasmyn and Jonathan welcomed into the world their one and only child, Jillian Calla Madison at Lovelace Women's Hospital in Albuquerque. A child of exuberance and unlimited energy, Jillian is Jasmyn and Jonathan's greatest creation and their most treasured work. With an aspiration to surround their daughter with countless examples of Black excellence, the new family relocated to Prince George's County, Maryland, just outside Washington D.C. in March of 2022. Shortly after moving to Maryland, she was diagnosed with a serious medical condition. Despite the diagnoses, she enjoyed four more wonderful and memorable years in her new life just outside the nation's capitol with family and friends. During their time in Maryland, the family remained active and committed to their Christian faith through service, prayer, praise and meeting with the Church in Beltsville. On March 28th, Jasmyn took her final breaths and entered into eternity with her devoted husband and loving father by her side.

Jasmyn leaves behind her husband of 20 years, Jonathan Dominic Madison; their five year old daughter, Jillian Calla Madison; one sister, Jarryn Cleaves (Tonya); her Mother and Father, Dorothy and Jerry L. Cleaves along with a host of relatives and friends.
