About us
E. H. Ford Mortuary was established & founded by Mr. Edmund H. Ford, Sr. on September 13, 1995. He is a second-generation mortician and is widely known throughout the City of Memphis for his precise technical expertise and his close attention to detail. Mr. Ford has served generations of families as a result of his professional and personal touch. Mr. Edmund H Ford, Sr is a Graduate of John A. Gupton College in Nashville, Tennessee, where he received a Degree in Mortuary Science. He is also a Graduate of Tennessee State University, Nashville, Tennessee, where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Government & Public Affairs. Mr. Ford is also a very proud Alumni & Graduate of Mitchell High School, The Graduating Class of 1973. He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and an active member of The Tennessee State Funeral Directors & Morticians Association, as well as The National Funeral Directors & Morticians Association. He is married to Mrs. Myrna Owen Ford, who works closely beside him in the business, and they are the parents of Three Young Men: Edmund Ford, Jr, Apprentice Funeral Director and Embalmer; James O. Ford, Apprentice Funeral Director; and William Ford, Apprentice Funeral Director. We continue the tradition of service, "Servicing to Serve Again"
